We’ve been hard at work building Cinder over the past year and a half delivering a dizzying number of features and improvements to our customers. We’re incredibly excited to be at a place to revisit some of the foundation we’ve built upon and up-level user interface, user experience, and information architecture.
What’s Coming
- What: Cinder Redesign
- When: Starting now, finishing incrementally over the next quarter
- Why: To provide a better all around experience to our current and future customers
How This Will Work
- In the coming weeks, modules of Cinder will begin being converted to our new design system with a focus on information density, clarity, and modern design patterns
- There are a lot of different modules and views within Cinder and it can’t all be done at once! Cinder will be converted over incrementally prioritizing areas with the most impact first
- These changes are intended to be NON-Breaking for your moderation teams. There are areas of the app we would love to fully redesign, but for this exercise we will focus on a visual overhaul while leaving all data points, key elements, and navigation in place
- Following the new look and feel, we will be doing a larger reorganization of the app. This will be released behind an opt in feature flag so users can incrementally onboard to the new flows
What About Other Features?
We are continuing to build the next features of Cinder alongside this redesign and will communicate any broader changes in roadmap or timelines as needed. Modern design systems are often a velocity driver for engineering teams and we look forward to leveraging this new system to deliver even faster and higher quality features.Sneak Peek
